Public Seminar

Length and Strength through the Core (webinar)

with Kathryn Hume-Cook

Length and Strength

In this series of public workshops, you will find new ways to improve your posture, coordination und flexibility.
The Feldenkrais Method helps you to notice things about the way you are moving through your life and utilise your human capacity to learn. In the group lessons, you will be guided through some very specific movement explorations which can help you to develop your ability to move and act more efficiently and elegantly, recalibrating neuromuscular patterns and adaptations.
Benefits are noticeable from the very first lesson, after which you may feel taller and lighter, more in tune with yourself and able to move more fluidly.
Come and discover that you can reach with ease what seemed impossible before.

Length and Strength through the Core (webinar)

Effortless power, control and precision are facilitated by finding a sense of inner stability and ways to move without shortening yourself. The iliopsoas, which runs in front of your spine and down through your pelvis to below your hip joints, plays an important role in stabilising your lumbar spine at the same time as facilitating mobility of the hip joints. Through reorganising the internal postural muscles you may find a new tilt in your pelvis, a different sense of support through your spine or an easy freedom in your limbs… allowing you to harness strength for lifting, carrying, throwing, kicking… for use in all kind of sports and leading an active, vital life.

This webinar will take place live via the online conference software "Zoom". It includes lessons in Awareness through Movement (so-called "ATMs"). Please make sure that you have a mat or blanket available for the exercises when the class begins. A flat pillow (for example a towel) is also advisable, just make sure it is not too thick or too soft.

You can participate in the webinar using a computer, tablet or smartphone, your camera and microphone do not need to be turned on to participate.
