Assistant Trainer

Jaime Polanco

Madrid, Spain — Assistant Trainer since 2020

Jaime is a dedicated Feldenkrais Teacher, Assistant Trainer, and Trainer Candidate. He graduated from the first Feldenkrais training in Madrid in 2014.

His professional exploration began after being licensed in physiotherapy in 2002. He expanded his understanding of the body through studying the Muscle and Articulation Chains GDS Method and the Bobath Concept. All of these training programs have contributed significantly to his core interests: movement, biomechanics, neuroscience, the unity of body and mind, and human behavior—interests he now primarily pursues and expresses as a Feldenkrais professional.

Based in Madrid, Jaime works in his private practice with people facing different conditions, holding a special interest in working with those with neurological challenges. He also teaches Feldenkrais classes, intensive workshops, and introductory courses in cities across Spain and contributes to professional training programs all over the world.

Jaime has been invited by public and private institutions and universities in Spain and abroad to lead Feldenkrais classes and workshops. In 2018, he participated in the Movement-is congress, organized by Harvard University Medical School, offering the workshop, “Examining Cognition: illusionism, lateral thinking and the Feldenkrais Method.”

Jaime has collaborated with the Instituto Feldenkrais for many years, serving as a mentor to the students of our training programs in Spain and as a teacher of several of our public seminars and advanced trainings. He became an Assistant Trainer in 2020 and, in 2024, obtained his accreditation as a Trainer Candidate, an important step toward becoming a Certified Feldenkrais Trainer in the near future.
